Description (Bradyarrhythmias)

This section will discuss all causes that leads to bradycardia in a clinical setting or as a presentation on the ECG. How to differentiate between sinus pauses, exit blocks and all three grades of heart block will be explained with ease on real ECGs. Also, it includes explanation on bundle branch blocks and on junctional rhythms. Enjoy your journey and start learning.

What you'll learn

  • Understand the electrophysiological mechanisms leading to bradycardia.

  • Differentiate sinus node dysfunction entities including sinus pause, sinus arrest, exit block, tachy–brady syndrome, and chronotropic incompetence.

  • Accurately diagnose all degrees of atrioventricular block (1st, 2nd Mobitz I & II, and complete heart block).

  • Recognize AV dissociation and understand its clinical implications.

  • Identify junctional rhythms, including junctional escape and accelerated junctional rhythms.

  • Diagnose bundle branch blocks (RBBB, LBBB) and fascicular blocks (LAFB, LPFB).

  • Recognize bifascicular and trifascicular conduction disease.

  • Correlate ECG findings with clinical presentation and management decisions.

  • Interpret real ECGs confidently in both acute and outpatient settings.
